How Anyone
Can Edit This Website

No coding required. If you can describe what you want, you can update this website.

How It Works

You open the website in Cursor, an AI-powered editor. You tell the AI what you want ("add a testimonial section," "update the hero text," "create a new blog post about our partnership") and it makes the changes. You preview everything on your machine, exactly like it will look live. When you're happy, you publish.

Prefer drafting elsewhere? Write your content in Google Docs, Slides, or anywhere you like. Paste it here and the AI automatically converts everything to match the website's styling. No manual formatting needed. (Unlike a traditional CMS, which preserves all the messy formatting from your source document, this process cleans it up to a much higher standard.)

Even Easier: Visual Editing

Cursor's visual editor lets you drag elements, click on anything and describe changes, or fine-tune with sliders. Point at a button, say "make this bigger." Done.

Why This Beats a Traditional CMS

AI That Sees Everything

Say "make this match the homepage" and it knows what that means. No menu hunting.

Faster to Learn

No UI to memorize, no plugin ecosystem to learn. Just describe what you want.

Zero Limitations

Analytics, forms, custom features. If you can describe it, it can be built.

AI-Native

Not a CMS with AI bolted on. The entire workflow is built around conversation.

The Learning Curve

~1 hour of setup and orientation, then you're faster than any CMS. Higher quality output too: consistent styling, proper SEO, no theme limitations.

When a CMS Makes Sense

Daily publishing by non-technical users, or large teams needing approval workflows. Otherwise, this approach gives you agency-level quality. (You still need good source content. A CMS never solved that either.)

Getting Started

A Verge Admin will walk you through this. One-time setup, documented here for transparency.

What You'll Need (All Free)

  • GitHub: Like Google Drive for code. Stores the website and tracks every change.
  • Cursor: Your AI-powered editor. This is where you'll make changes by talking to an AI.
  • Node.js (LTS version): Runs the website locally on your computer so you can preview changes.
  • Git: Syncs your changes with GitHub. Think of it as the "save & share" mechanism.
1

Get Access

Create a GitHub account and ask a Verge Admin to grant you access to the website repository.

2

Install the Tools

Download and install Cursor, Node.js (LTS), and Git from the links above.

3

Clone & Run

Open Cursor, clone the repository, run npm install then npm run dev. The site runs locally at localhost:8080.

4

Start Talking

Open the AI chat in Cursor and describe what you want to change. The AI will make the edits, you review them, and publish when ready.
