TECGRAF TECHNOLOGIES

Two pioneers in agricultural operations providing customers with a single powerful, intuitive, web-based planning software.

Verge continues to build partnerships around the world. Based out of Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Tecgraf Technologies has entered into a strategic combination with Verge Agriculture. This transaction brings the powerful geoprocessing and path planning features of AgroCAD® into Launch Pad and Verge Ag’s intuitive, web-based farm operations planning interface into AgroCAD®.  Launch Pad software tool lets a producer plan, simulate and optimize their on-farm operations in one simplewindow.

Tecgraf is the leading developer of computer aided design solutions for agricultural applications with customers in 12 countries utilizing its AgroCAD® software on approximately 10 million acres of farmland.

What does this mean for current and future producers around the world?

As a completely web-based tool that does not require any additional software or purchases to use, a producer can easily consider and balance operating considerations to minimize field operating time, number of turns or distance, and soil erosion potential while managing year over year traffic patterns, and implications of one operation on the efficiency of another.  With the transaction, Launch Pad will also provide curved-path alternatives, guess row optimization and turn automation across all major agriculture equipment and guidance manufacturers.

About Verge Ag

Verge Ag is a team of entrepreneurs, rocket scientists, programmers, farmers, data scientists and deal-makers who are focused on accelerating the transition to autonomous farming. While a lot of attention has been paid to the hardware aspects of autonomous farming, operational planning and coordination transcends all hardware solutions and is necessary for autonomous operations to become reality. Our software is focused entirely on this gap, allowing users to gain the benefits on their operations today while bridging the gap for when autonomous machinery is adopted at commercial scale tomorrow. About Tecgraf

Tecgraf has specialized in computer aided design (CAD) solutions and developed a product to meet the growing demand of the agribusiness technology market. Named AgroCAD®, the solution seeks to integrate and direct the CAD, topography and geoprocessing features available in Autodesk software, with the aim of offering the necessary resources for substantially increasing productivity in different crops, such as sugarcane, for which it was initially developed, and more recently in soy, cotton, rice, reforestation, among others.  For more information on the solution adopted as a standard in this application, please visit www.agrocad.com.br.

What Verge’s partners
are saying

Neil Wagner

"Operations always trumps Agronomy". Following Agronomic practices can be complex with a lot of correlations required to monetize the benefits, but anybody who sits in the seat of a piece of equipment grasps the concept of path planning and how it benefits operations.  The first adoption of Digital Ag should be Path Planning. Launch Pad does just that.

Clay Mitchell

Path planning for agricultural field operations is a core activity that has a major impact on minimizing economic (fuel, inputs, and time) and environmental (emissions, soil erosion, and water run-off) costs for the farmer. The team at Verge are the first ones to develop a truly interactive web application that integrates all the complexities of path planning in an accessible way to drive farmer adoption. We believe this will be game changing for farmers.

Tecgraf Testi

As we looked to continue to grow with our customers and meet their evolving needs beyond our traditional markets of sugarcane and rice, we saw the need for a planning tool that was more intuitive and agile for the farmers. The team at Verge Ag and their Launch Pad software were right on the mark and so bringing our businesses together made perfect sense.
